Releasing Tamarixia wasps in a Florida citrus grove. (The wasps are too small to see without magnification.) We get the wasps from the Dundee Biological Laboratory in these large test tubes. Once a week, we release 7000 individual wasps in overgrown citrus groves, since these groves provide a suitable habitat for the wasp populations to grow. We use an iPhone app we developed, called Tamarixia Tracker, to track and report the releases.
